storage smellbathroom cleanliness
I was a bit disappointed by a couple of things . The room had a noticeable storage smell that lingered on the bedding. I observed some mould on the grout in the bathroom and the toilet pan looked discoloured. It made me question the overall cleanliness there.

Location is fine. I could get to places. Parking was nearby, which I suppose, made things simpler.
Stairs were quite narrow. I lugged my suitcase up this rather steep staircase. It was inconvenient. I seemed like a pack mule.

Nice stay

vintage radiofriendly staffloud quiz
I liked the vintage radio and cute milk bottles. A sign on the towel said, 'gone to the pub'. Breakfast provided a great choice and accommodated my gluten intolerance. The staff WERE friendly.
The quiz nights were REALLY loud. I thought avoiding wednesday night would be fine, but quizzes also happen on thursdays. It is a shame BECAUSE the rooms are lovely.
