Rooms and Suites

Hotel du Vin & Bistro Brighton is in Brighton, 45 km from London Gatwick. The 49 bedrooms and suites feature fine Egyptian linen, monsoon showers, plasma TVs, and air-conditioning. Rooms include a king-size bed and a plasma TV. Suites add a king-size bed, LCD TV, a roll-top bath, and a walk-in rain shower; most have a sofa area. Cozy rooms provide a queen bed, a desk with chair and a flatscreen TV. Classic rooms feature a Twin, Queen or King bed, a writing desk with chair, flatscreen TV and en-suite bathroom with shower only or shower over bath.

Bistro Dining

The Brighton restaurant is inspired by French home-style cooking, some served up hearty style and some designed on the plate. The bistro restaurant provides dishes prepared with fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. A sommelier is ready to discuss wine pairings. Guests can have platters of charcuterie or cheese. Bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Bar and Socializing

Guests are greeted by a spacious split-level bar decked out with leather club chairs, exposed brickwork and a wall-length mural. A wide range of drinks is available in the bar, which features a wooden-beamed ceiling. The pub serves pub-grub staples like chili con carne, mussels and chips or chicken tikka masala.

Location and access

Hotel du Vin & Bistro Brighton is a 15-minute walk from Brighton train station and 45 km from London Gatwick. It is in the heart of The Lanes, an area of Brighton city center with narrow lanes and alleyways that make up the oldest part of the city. Landmarks nearby: Brighton Museum and Art Gallery - 0.5 km, Brighton Toy and Model Museum - 1 km and West Pier - 1 km.

Meetings and Events

The hotel offers 6 meeting rooms. The Dome can accommodate up to 120 people. The Ridgeview Room is named after a local English Sparkling Wine. Day Delegate packages include meeting room hire, conference stationery, mineral water, a flip chart and pens, complimentary Wi-Fi, two tea and coffee breaks and a hot and cold buffet lunch to enjoy.

“Hotel Du Vin & Bistro Brighton, housed in a beautiful old building, strikes me as a blend of Gothic and Tudor styles with modern comforts; the location, near Brighton Beach and the Lanes, is undeniably perfect. The rooms are cosy and well-equipped, and I particularly appreciate the on-site Bistro du Vin, known for its French-inspired cuisine, but the price may be a consideration. It's a stylish urban retreat, but be aware of potential parking challenges.”

Wonderful Coastal Getaway

central location luxury toiletries
The location is very central, near shops, restaurants and the beach. I found ample towels and luxury toiletries in the super clean room. The bar has a cigar patio on the 2nd floor (quite unique!).
I had fun with my large suitcase because there is no elevator to the upper floors.

incorrect cocktail inedible potato
The bar did not have the mixers I prefer I like Schweppes. The barman had never heard of Fino Sherry. My cocktail was not correctly made as it had tonic instead of soda. One roast potato was black and inedible and there was no apology when I pointed it out
