Only four classic rooms include a private terrace with a table, chairs, and sun loungers overlooking the Gulf of Naples. Superior Sea View Rooms can accommodate three people and have air conditioning. Junior Suites can accommodate three people plus one child. San Francesco Al Monte is 400 meters from Toledo and 450 meters from Montesanto. It is located on a hillside above the historical city center. The Monsanto funicular, linking Piazzeta Monsanto to Castel Sant'Elmo, stops 400 meters from the hotel. The central funicular station is 300 meters away. ANM bus C16 stops outside the hotel and connects to Mergellina station on Line 2, which runs between the central train station and Fuorigrotta. Capodichino Airport is 5 km away and accessible by taxi or ALIBUS.

uninspired breakfastunfriendly service
The breakfast buffet was disappointing and uninspired. coffee quality was lacking as well. service at breakfast felt unfriendly. It was not particularly efficient. (i expect a bit more attention during breakfast).

The staff was helpful! Rita in reservations really helped. Salvatore and Valerio at the front desk provided peace of mind. The breakfast on the 4th floor terrace is lovely. Yummy food and front row views of Mt. Vesuvius are available.
There was no access to drinking water unless I paid for it. The minibar had small bottles that cost €3. The bar offered slightly larger bottles for €4. I bought my own at the supermarket. The pool opened late and closed early.

I found the views from the top of the hill amazing. I liked the rooftop bar and its views a lot. The pool was a plus for chilling during the hot day. I also had an excellent dinner at the restaurant (the steak was great!).
The hotel common areas could use some freshening, in my opinion.

The hotel has a chill-out pool on the top floor, offering refreshing swims with panoramic views. A bar and restaurant terrace is on the fourth floor. The location gives easy access to the cable car for transportation.

The room features good quality linens and comfortable beds. I felt secure , important. Hair dryers, robes, and essential toiletries, such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, were available in the room.
