some issues noted during stay

limited breakfast choice cramped room
The cooked breakfast was not excellent. my choice was limited to eggs, bacon, beans, and half a tomato. It's not the scottish breakfast i expected. i also found the room quite small and cramped, not ideal for a longer stay.

the hosts gave directions to a decent restaurant for dinner. that was acceptable.
The room was small. i didn't expect to be in a building separate from the breakfast area. the breakfast room itself was also quite small. This felt inconvenient

Solid Stay Near the University

owner integrity same room complete cookware alternate workspace
The owners showed real integrity during my extended stay. I kept the same room for unexpected extra nights because William made it work. The kitchen had a stovetop, microwave, toaster, and all the cookware I needed. I could also work in the dining area when I wanted a change of scenery.
The location, while close to some attractions, requires a bit of a walk to the main city center.
Rooms
9/10
The room included tea and coffee making equipment. A small sink and a TV set were also available (useful for winding down after a long day). The bed was comfortable.
Service
9/10
The hosts go above and beyond to ensure a stress-free and enjoyable visit. They provide a warm welcome to guests. I thought the staff were friendly and helpful with directions.
Facilities
8/10
Parking was available close to the building, a definite plus. The house has a well kept, clean feel, even though it is an older building. I appreciated the proximity to Aberdeen University.
Dining
10/10
The cooked breakfast included in the price was freshly prepared (and filling). I could not have asked for anything more. The breakfast had a good variety.
