Location and Access
Golden Tulip Marseille Euromed is in the renovated La Joliette area, at the heart of the Euromediterranee area. It is 500 metres from Joliette and 1 km from Marseille Saint-Charles. Saint Charles train station is 10 minutes and Marseille Provence International Airport is 30 minutes. Tram 'Euromediterranee Gantes' and metro L2 connect the hotel to Old Port, the Exhibition and Congress Parc Chanot Center, the Velodrome Stadium, and the Prado beaches. The hotel is near boarding docks for cruise ships. Nearby landmarks include Clocher des Accoules (1 km), The Panier (1 km), La Maison Diamantee (1 km), Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde (3 km), Arc de Triomphe (1 km), Fort Saint-Jean (2 km) and Old Port of Marseille (2 km). totally fantastic stay!
fresh pastries variety of fruit really good cleanliness
i found the breakfast selection excellent. i enjoyed fresh pastries and a variety of fruit. the coffee machine made really good cappuccinos! our room was clean. the housekeeping staff really paid attention to detail , it was wonderful.
the elevators were occasionally slow , but this wasn't a huge issue.

the hotel has proximity to numerous attractions. several food places surround the hotel. reaching the hotel by bus is really easy , i found that great.

the room had comfortable beds. the rooms are spacious , that makes moving around with luggage very simple. the sea view from the room was lovely , i could watch the water all day.

the check-in process was fast and very efficient. staff members are friendly and helpful. the check-out process was also quick and friendly , i really loved it.

vanilla scent worn cushions
the hotel smelled strongly of vanilla a scent i found overpowering it gave me a headache the terrace was also surprisingly noisy i think it was due to a vehicle ramp nearby the terrace furniture needed some work too there were holes and worn spots on the cushions it did not feel like a four-star experience

underwhelming stay
awful parking uncomfortable pool
parking proved a real headache. it was miles away and confusing. the pool area was overrun with loud music and visibly drunk people passed out on the chairs. i felt pretty uncomfortable. frankly, it ruined any chance of a relaxing swim.

many varieties busy day
the breakfast was wonderful , it offered many varieties. the room was super nice and quiet , perfect for relaxation after a busy day.
it was difficult to park by the door to unload the bags , this was a bit inconvenient.

quality food great variety fruit selection
The room was a Superior Twin Room. The hotel restaurant served quality food all day. Breakfast had much variety (I especially liked the fruit selection).
The lighting in the room could be improved. There were not enough lights.
