The Plough offers eight en-suite bedrooms and eight 5-star self-catering cottages a short walk away. Each room includes a flat-screen television, wool throws, plump cushions, and attention to detail. Superior King Rooms feature padded beams and hand-built four-poster beds. Deluxe King Rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a waterfall shower, baths, and handmade four-poster beds. Room 6 features a superking size bed which can be twinned on request and can be booked with Room 7, which is opposite. Standard Double Rooms are cosiest rooms, each including a double bed and en-suite shower room. General amenities include an honesty bar, LED Smart TV with Blu-Ray player, radio/alarm, complimentary Wi-Fi, a hospitality tray with a Nespresso coffee machine, and NuAire cooling system.
Dining: Pub and Restaurant
The Plough is a village pub/restaurant offering food and an interesting variety of local craft ales, spirits, and wines. The restaurant has been awarded an AA rosette for 3 years running. Diners can choose from pub classics such as traditional Beer Battered Fish 'n' Chips, Homemade Pies, or fresh Market Fish of the Day. Sunday roasts include prime topside of Yorkshire Beef. The bar focuses on drinks in a sociable environment. The Garden Lounge accommodates private dining and events for up to 25 people. Food service is from 5pm - til late, and Sundays from 12pm-6pm.
Events and Functions
The Garden Lounge is available for events or groups, whether a corporate lunch or birthday dinner. The space has capacity for up to 30 guests and is available seven days a week, right through from lunch to dinner. The events hosted include wedding breakfasts, baby showers, Christenings, birthday celebrations, and corporate private dining experiences.

The Plough Inn & Cottages is in Scalby, near Scarborough, on the North Yorkshire coast. It is the perfect gateway to the North York Moors National Park. It is 5 km from Scarborough and 100 km from Durham Tees Valley. The church of St Laurence's is the oldest recorded building in the village dating back to 1150. The older part of the village is focused around a small but busy High Street, Scalby. It's aptly named the 'dinosaur coast' for the discovery of dinosaur footprints and fossils there. Landmarks nearby include Peasholm Park (3 km), Coast Gallery (3 km), Scarborough Castle (4 km), and Scarborough Open Air Theatre (2 km).

The Plough is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. The cold spread includes cream-like Ann Forshaw yogurts, muesli, and berries. Kayaking, windsurfing, and sailing offer chances to get out on the surrounding water. All the bedrooms in The Plough have been fitted with a NuAire cooling system.
