lovely stay!
helpful staffconvenient parkingtiny room
i booked by phone, and staff are very helpful. finding the place was easy, and parking is convenient. check-in was great with a warm welcome. ensuite room was really clean, and the stupendous breakfast was included. it was freshly cooked with high quality ingredients. the pub bar onsite had a great selection of ales and ciders. i had a really good menu of traditional pub grub.
there wasnt a bedside table, so having tea in bed was almost impossible. i think that bedside table is an easy fix.

breakfast was superbly cooked with an inviting welcome. the choice was a traditional english breakfast to fruit, cereal and yoghurt. i enjoyed the bar, it offered real ales, lagers, ciders, and a menu of traditional pub food.

my double room was fine, it included all facilities for a comfortable stay. windows opened wide, that was great, as i visited during a heat wave. the provided fan was good for extra chilling when needed.

I found the staff friendly!
The room felt quite dated. The kettle had limescale. I also noted the plug sockets were not near the bed. Food seemed expensive for what it was, a disappointment.

The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety. the staff was helpful. i appreciated the hotel's convenient location and available parking. the location allowed easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. Parking was very accessible.
The room felt very dated, and the layout was odd. the washbasin was in the main room. The toilet was separate. the lack of air conditioning made sleeping uncomfortable on a hot night.
