The Crescent Guest House enjoys a fantastic location, just a short walk from both the train station and iconic landmarks like York Minster, with guests often mentioning the convenience. The availability of parking permits for a reasonable £5 per day is also a plus for many. Rooms are generally comfortable and provide everything needed, plus guests appreciate having access to a shared kitchen with electrical appliances; though some have noted that certain rooms could benefit from updating. It's also worth mentioning the local bakery right next door where you can have breakfast.

an ok experience

convenient locationhelpful staffold furnituresmall bathroom
the location was really convenient. it was close to the city centre and all the attractions. i appreciated the easy access, and the area felt quite peaceful at night! the staff were also helpful. they assisted with parking, which i was worried about, and offered a safe solution.
the room felt a bit old! the furniture looked like it needed replacing, and the decor wasn't the freshest. also, the bathroom was really small. i didn't use the shower because it seemed old and cramped, and it wasn't a very inviting space.

underwhelming stay.

dated roomnon-functional shower
The room was quite tired. It definitely needs some updating. the electric shower proved to be non-functional on the morning i was leaving. I discovered this just before catching an early train. the owner didn't offer any apologies or compensation. so charming.
