faulty heatercold air
the heater didn't work during a very cold spell.. it was like they shut it off around 9pm. despite being told a portable heater would arrive, nothing came. the room grew frigid as a result. i also noticed the staff seemed to have a real dislike for americans, which affected every interaction. the coffee maker leaked everywhere, and cold air poured in through gaps in the window trim. the in-room safe instructions didn't match the safe itself, and some light bulbs were out, casting a gloom over everything. the restaurant couldn't honor a reservation and offered a simple 'sorry'.

the location was great, i walked to many nearby attractions. the bathroom had complimentary toiletries. the room included a work desk.
the air conditioning was quite loud. the room felt small, it barely fit my luggage. the ice machine was on another floor.
