For dining out, the Salty Dawg (a few blocks away) serves good food but has a loud jukebox and pool tables-not ideal for families. The owner can recommend other spots, though some are closed on certain evenings.
Beach and Ocean Views
Enjoy direct ocean views from your room. A private beach is accessible via a rugged trail or a short drive down the road. Guests can watch whales in the bay and hunt for rocks on the beach. The sun porch (no opening windows) offers a lovely view of the port. No spa or swimming pool onsite.

Free parking and free WiFi are included. Pets are allowed. The owners (Phil, Tim) provide a warm welcome, local recommendations, and even help with bicycle storage. No room service or concierge. Rooms are not cleaned during stays, offering privacy. The hotel is family-run and accepts late check-ins.

Beyond the scenery, I found the rooms to be consistently clean and well-maintained, with the manager, Tim, frequently singled out for his helpful and accommodating demeanor. While not a luxury destination, its comfortable accommodations and pet-friendly atmosphere make it a solid choice for coastal exploration.”
