Del Marcos Hotel, A Kirkwood Collection Hotel (Adults Only) - A 1947 Mid-Century Modern Palm Springs hotel with heated saltwater pool and mountain views
Located in the historic Tennis Club neighborhood, this adults-only Palm Springs hotel occupies a 1947 stone and redwood building designed by architect William F. Cody. The U-shaped property centers around a heated saltwater pool with poolside fire pits and cabanas featuring flat-screen TVs. Del Marcos Hotel earned a creative design award from the Southern California AIA chapter for its cutting-edge resort architecture. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the San Jacinto Mountains, while rooms feature kitchenettes or refrigerators, private patios or balconies, and Mid-Century Modern furnishings. The property hosts a complimentary happy hour from 4-5pm daily, serving wine, beer, mixed drinks, and snacks. Del Marcos Hotel, A Kirkwood Collection Hotel sits within walking distance of Palm Canyon Drive's restaurants, boutiques, and the Palm Springs Art Museum.
Pros
Bold architectural elements including an organic asymmetrical entrance and native stone construction
Daily complimentary breakfast with coffee, tea, fruit and baked goods
Complimentary hotel beach cruisers available for guest use
Free high-speed internet access throughout the property
Cons
Adults-only policy restricts families with children
Limited on-site dining options outside of breakfast service
“This adults-only retreat captures Palm Springs' mid-century vibe, a destination recognized for its architecture. I think its focus on adults creates a serene atmosphere, close to downtown's restaurants and shops. The complimentary happy hour is a delight.”
