Holy Smoke Resort, Keystone

Holy Smoke Resort offers 26 log cabins and 21 RV sites with full 30/50 amp hookups. Cabins include a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and bed linen and towels. Some cabins feature a patio or a kitchen with a fridge and microwave. The resort has pet-friendly cabins and a dog run. Choose from historic cabins or duplex units, each with key access and smoke alarms.

The resort has no onsite restaurant, but each cabin is equipped with a kitchen including a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Guests can buy groceries in Keystone, a 2-minute drive away. For meals, Powder House Lodge, 0.5 miles from the resort, serves breakfast and dinner. Downtown Keystone also has several restaurants and shops within walking distance.

The resort features an outdoor pavilion for large gatherings, a dog run for pets, and kids' outdoor play equipment. The property is set in a wooded area of the Black Hills, with picnic tables on cabin patios. Guests can enjoy the quiet setting, though some duplex cabins have thin walls between units.

Holy Smoke Resort is located off the highway, 5 minutes from Keystone. It is a short drive to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse National Memorial, and Rushmore Tramway Adventures. The 1880 Train and downtown Keystone are also nearby. Free private parking is available, and guests can park directly outside their cabin.

The resort offers free WiFi (may be spotty in some areas), free parking, and fax/photocopying services. Private check-in is available for late arrivals. The friendly staff, including manager Dani and front desk attendant Lynette, often go above and beyond to assist guests. Pet-friendly cabins require an additional charge.
