Marqueen Hotel - A historic prohibition-era Seattle hotel with apartment-style rooms and speakeasy lounge

Located in Seattle's historic Uptown neighborhood, this 4-star Seattle hotel occupies a former Model-T garage transformed into spacious apartment-style accommodations. The Marqueen features the Tin Lizzie Lounge, a prohibition-style speakeasy serving local spirits and craft cocktails. Each room includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and Starbucks coffee maker, plus a dining nook and sitting area. Apartment-style rooms come equipped with LED flat-screen TVs, HBO, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The property offers 24-hour front desk service and an exercise room. Just blocks from the Space Needle and Seattle Center, the hotel provides walking access to the Pacific Science Center, Museum of Pop Culture, and Climate Pledge Arena. The Seattle Monorail station, connecting to downtown, sits 0.5 miles from the property.

Pros

Historic 1920s building with preserved architectural details and vintage charm

Within 0.5 miles of Kerry Park's iconic city viewpoint

The Tin Lizzie Lounge offers prohibition-era cocktails and local spirits

On-site services include a French day spa and coffee shop

Cons

No elevator in the historic building

14.5 miles from Seattle-Tacoma Airport

“This historic hotel in Seattle's Uptown neighborhood holds unique appeal, steps from the Space Needle. I'm intrigued by its prohibition-era speakeasy lounge. The apartment-style rooms, complete with kitchenettes, cater to longer stays and make it dog-friendly too, given the lush parks nearby.”

The staff at the front desk were super friendly. i found the location easy to walk to the city from. the room was cute and well cleaned, i would stay here again. the hotel still maintains its original charm.
the pictures online looked nothing like the room i had. it was complete false advertising. the online pictures showed a luxury stand up shower when i had a bathtub shower with dirty tile.

The staff seemed fine.
My room faced the street, and the noise levels were EXCESSIVE. The room's decor felt outdated, not historic. It just seemed old and worn.

The staff is friendly and helpful. the hotel's design reflects the 1920s, with attention to detail from the bathroom tile to the curtains. i visited a nearby diner and enjoyed a traditional breakfast. It was good.
the hotel is old. my room had minimal furniture. the bed linen was ripped, and the room was not clean. i found it pretty disappointing.
