charming stay!
modern vibe friendly staff live music
i found the hotel's mid-century modern vibe awesome. the staff were friendly, especially at the front desk (i loved how helpful they were!). the upstairs bar was quirky, and the live music added to the atmosphere.

Mediocre stay, some issues noticed
thin walls slow elevator
The location was acceptable. It allowed for fairly easy access to the areas I needed to reach.
I encountered issues with noise. The walls seemed thin. I heard conversations and noise from other rooms. It REALLY disrupted my sleep (and irritated me!) a few times. the elevator was slow. It added extra time to simple trips to and from my room.

convenient location otis elevator luxurious amenities
i appreciated the hotel's convenient location near shops and public transportation. The antique otis elevator WAS interesting. I found the Diptyque fig-scented amenities a luxurious touch. The front desk staff provided excellent suggestions.
the room was quite small. It had limited space for luggage.

great location stylish room helpful staff nice pastries
the location was superb, right near union square! the room was clean and stylish. the staff was helpful when i needed directions. breakfast pastries and coffee were a nice touch.
the elevator made some noise at times.

The location offered easy access to nearby shops. the antique otis elevator worked well. It is one of the first in the city. the provided diptyque amenities featured a pleasant fig scent.

Vintage Charm and Great Location
comfortable bed quiet room vintage look
The bed was very comfortable. My room on the sixth floor was quiet. The shower had great pressure. The decor had a cool vintage look. Parking was easy, right across the street.
I found the location to be a bit unsafe. There were some unsavory characters hanging around the hotel. I know it's a city, but it felt more pronounced in this area.

The hotel is close to many restaurants and cafes, including Cafe Central. The cafe has very good breakfasts with much variety. This made it very easy to find a convenient spot for a quick bite.

The music was so beautiful in the lobby, a very tender atmosphere. i loved the hotel's decor. It felt historical. staff members were attentive and friendly. the location was great. It gave easy access to many nearby places.
