faulty heating cold floor

The heating in my room was not working. Staff provided a small space heater instead. The bathroom floor was very cold. I would consider eating elsewhere as the breakfast was just ok.

the room was a good size. it was also very clean. the bar service was good and breakfast choices were extensive.

i was assigned a room and upon opening the door , i found someone already in bed. the front desk attendant did not seem very apologetic initially. the heating vent made noise throughout the night , and the front desk seemed inattentive.

attentive staff easy location efficient check-in

The staff was wonderful, especially jessie at the restaurant. She was attentive. check-in was quick, with kind and efficient people. the hotel's location near the station made everything so easy, and it's not far to walk into the town.

I noticed some wear in the bathrooms. Some have baths rather than walk-in showers.

the room felt really spacious with lovely blackout curtains ensuring peaceful sleep. it was commendably quiet too, even though it's next to the stadium. i found that the bed was comfortable.

the buffet breakfast was superb with a good selection of foods and drinks. staff worked hard to accommodate everyone even when it got busy. they offered alternative milks too, which i thought was such a thoughtful touch.

parking was available at a reasonable rate, and the hotel is located within walking distance of the city center. there is also a morrisons nearby for convenience. the hotel also has two elevators that i found quite practical.

the staff was very helpful at check-in.

the room felt very outdated (i stayed in room 124). the bedside table was literally hanging off the wall. i also had to pay for parking, which reminded me of a scam.

the staff seemed friendly. my room included a comfortable bed. i also appreciated the restaurant, it had varied options. the hotel provided convenient parking right outside, so i find it easy.

i noticed grout showed mildew in the bathroom. this do requires attention. the loud heating disturbed my sleep.

helpful staff efficient check-in unique view uncomfortable pillows heating malfunction space heater

The reception staff provided excellent service. They were very helpful and efficient during check-in. My room overlooked the football pitch (a unique view!).

The pillows were uncomfortable. I also found the heating system was not fully functional. I was provided with a space heater to compensate (it worked ok).
