I REALLY liked the free canoe rental. It allowed me to explore the lake. The fire pit with complimentary morning coffee was a HUGE plus, VERY relaxing. The 24-hour manned reception gave me peace of mind .
The restaurant was somewhat expensive. It limited my dining options on the hotel.

i found the access to kayaking and canoeing a significant advantage. the views were fine each morning. the hotel restaurant provided top class dining. i also liked the complementary cappuccino and tea in the reception area.
i noticed some noise from adjacent rooms.

the lake location is beautiful. kayaking and canoeing were available for rent onsite. mornings are less busy for activities. the mountain view resembles a painting.
the room i had was dated. i also heard noises from the water pipes. the upstairs neighbors made noise as they walked around. this disrupted my rest.

I enjoyed my stay a lot. The proximity to the lake is great, and so are the mountains nearby. Beautiful walking trails were also nice and safe. I especially liked sitting on the dock and enjoying a cup of tea.
The parking lot IS dysfunctional if you drive a large vehicle.

the whistler room has a kitchen, this is so great! the view included both mountains and the lake. front desk staff at night were helpful and polite. the hot tub was nice!
