a perfectly adequate stay, i guess

adequate locationtiny roomnon-working wifi
the location was adequate, close enough to some trails for an alright morning walk.
I got a double room and i swear the thing was smaller than my first apartment. getting around the bed seemed like an olympic sport and dont even get me started on the view from the window. It was a brick wall. also, the wi-fi password they gave me at check-in? didnt even work.

disruptive trainsshort cable
The trains running so close to the hotel were unbelievably disruptive. It was like the bed shook every morning around 6:10 am. it was not a pleasant wake-up call. the kettle cable in my room was too short. the low, sloping ceilings were also a challenge, especially since i am a taller guy.

modern plugstv accessclose loch
The room had modern plugs with USB for phone charging which I appreciated. The tv offered access to apps and FreeSat. The walk to the loch was very close, practically on the doorstep.
The menu was a little limited and the food was not quite what i expected.

Wonderful stay near the highlands

friendly staffcharging pointhigh qualitymodern amenities
I found the staff friendly and helpful. the hotel features a convenient charging point in the parking area. i really enjoyed the food in the restaurant. The quality was certainly high. the open fireplaces added a lot to the atmosphere.
my room lacked some modern amenities. it also felt a bit small given the furniture layout.

some issues impacted my stay

acceptable locationchipped muglack of coffee
the location was acceptable, being close enough to attractions.
the room felt quite dated with mismatched furniture. i also discovered a chipped mug on the courtesy tray and a cup at breakfast was chipped too.. this oversight is frustrating. the lack of decaffeinated coffee due to a medical need was disappointing.

traffic noiselimited options
The room was quite cramped , with little space to move around. I found the traffic NOISE particularly bothersome at night , , made it difficult to sleep. Also , I was disappointed that they didn't offer any lactose-free milk alternatives , as it limited my options at breakfast. This wasn't ideal considering THE price.
