Rooms
Housed in a historic building, the hotel offers rooms with air conditioning, private bathrooms, free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, and work desks. Some rooms overlook the River Ness. Guests should note there is no elevator, and rooms are accessed via stairs. The building's tartan-carpeted stairway adds character.
Dining
The on-site restaurant serves Chinese, Indian, Scottish, seafood, local, Asian, international, and European cuisines. Breakfast is offered as a continental buffet. However, the strong smell of spices from the kitchen, especially curry, can permeate the hallways and rooms, which may bother some guests.
Location
The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Inverness Castle, less than 1 km from Inverness Railway Station, and close to Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. It sits along the River Ness, with shops and restaurants a 5-minute walk away. Inverness Airport is 16 km away.
Amenities
The hotel provides 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, room service (limited hours), and packed lunches. For pets, bowls are available. Other services include concierge, laundry, and key card access. Note: there is no sitting room or elevator.
“From its prime riverside position, this historic property presents well-maintained interiors that feel both clean and characterful. The comfort of the rooms is notable, complemented by attentive staff who make an effort to accommodate guest schedules. A strong breakfast offering rounds out a stay that feels genuinely good value.”
