Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Lifeboat Inn, a beautiful smugglers pub with interesting features and a cozy bar, is known for its comfortable and very clean rooms. As a particularly dog-friendly establishment, it provides dog beds, towels, bowls, and treats. Many guests enjoy the location near the coast and the option to relax in the conservatory; though some have noted that the standard menu options can feel somewhat generic as part of a larger chain, the pub offers a great selection of beers and soft drinks, and a full English breakfast is beautifully cooked and very tasty.

Wonderful Stay!

comfortable beddecent bathroomdelicious breakfastfriendly staff
I found the beds super comfortable, perfect after long days exploring. The bathroom had great water pressure. I enjoyed my showers. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. The staff were friendly and helpful, I felt really welcome.
I thought the parking lot could use better lighting at night. It felt a bit dark.
Dining
9/10
The Sunday roast lunch was great, a really generous portion. I also saw gluten-free options available, a big plus. The conservatory was so relaxing. I preferred it over the restaurant.

lovely coastal retreat

i enjoyed the sea view from my room. the complimentary tea and coffee were a nice touch. the bed offered good size and comfort. i especially liked that the bathroom was super clean it included both a bath and a shower along with decent toiletries.
i found the menu limited. i expected more seafood given the location. this made choosing dishes somewhat difficult for me even if what i had was good overall.

mixed feelings about the stay.

easy car parkinginattentive servicelow water pressure
The location allowed easy car parking.
The restaurant service was not attentive. I had to search for someone to serve us multiple times. Dinner courses that should have been served together were not. The cold water pressure to the wash basin in the bedroom was low.
