My anniversary was special, thanks to this hotel. The Hemsley Suite décor was fine. It was luxurious and elegant. The staff even surprised us with rose petals scattered in the room. This detail.
The minibar items were a little overpriced for my taste.

james ensured we had the perfect room for my wife's birthday, even arranging some surprise treats. marcus warmly greeted us upon arrival. the room was opulent (i could see the sea from the bath!). it was comfortable. this stay really earned me brownie points!
the stairs are something to consider, as there is no lift, but the staff are on hand to help with luggage.

The breakfast was AMAZING!!! I enjoyed a good hearty meal with orange juice and tea. I also appreciated the fresh water and milk provided in the fridge. The location is very convenient, with sea views from Kemptown.
The room snacks were a little overpriced.

james made sure we had the right room and arranged birthday surprises for my wife. marcus greeted us warmly upon arrival. the room impressed my wife, especially the birthday treats (she loved it!). you could even see the sea from the bath.
I found the tv connection quite poor. It stalled often. turning the tv off resulted in a bright light that stayed on for a long time. there was also a constant noise from the en-suite fan. It never stopped (it bothered me a bit).

getting to the upper floors means you have to use stairs. it is a traditional townhouse thing i noticed.

the staff helped me with directions to local attractions. i appreciated the prosecco offered upon arrival, a charming touch. the room decor created a unique atmosphere. the location being close to the seafront was really great.
the room lacked air conditioning. street noise was noticeable with the windows open at night. i could hear quite a bit of yelling from passers-by. the bathroom light issue, mentioned in the information book, needs fixing.
