“I appreciate the hotel's commitment to blending historical charm with modern design, particularly its quirky, fun rooms within an 18th-century townhouse. Its location in Edinburgh's New Town is a real advantage, placing guests within a short walk of the city's heart, and I think the focus on local produce enhances the dining experience. This feels like a smart choice for travellers wanting something more individual.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Hotel Indigo Edinburgh enjoys a fabulous location, convenient for sightseeing and just a short walk from the Edinburgh station. Guests appreciate the good-sized and quiet rooms, some noting the stylish, semi-traditional décor, and the complimentary items in the fridge. The breakfast receives high praise, featuring excellent options including gluten-free choices and freshly cooked dishes; however, a few guests have mentioned that some rooms are located in the subsoil with awful wc smells. The hotel also features a nice bar for a quiet drink and is near the Playhouse.

the breakfast was very good indeed. it included a decent range of seating areas and a 24/7 bar.
the bathroom was not properly cleaned on check in. a member of staff did come to clean it, but then used the same hand towel to clean both the toilet and the sink. i could hear every sound in the corridor, including the cleaners slamming their cupboard every 10 minutes.
