Buses to Lake Minnewanka depart from the high school across from Elk + Avenue. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the Banff National Park Gates, and a five-minute drive from the exit. Brewster Banff Airport Express provides service from the Calgary International Airport. Roam Transit, Banff's local transit, stops at the Banff Gondola, the Upper Hot Springs and Lake Minnewanka.

the location was very convenient. i found it easy to walk to many stores and restaurants. the underground parking was a great benefit (especially during colder nights). i really appreciated the friendly and helpful service i received .
the room i stayed in felt somewhat outdated. i noticed some marks on the floorboards, and the shower curtain had a slight odor. this detracted a bit from the otherwise positive experience.

my standard two queen room contained comfortable beds and pillows, perfect for a good night's sleep. the room included a kettle for making hot drinks and a hairdryer. fresh towels were provided daily.

the hotel seemed rundown. the room felt dark and small. there was not much space to move around near the chest. natural light came only from the sliding door next to the bed facing the street. people outside could easily look into the room.
