La Maison du Sage, occupying two floors of a 16th-century building (last remodelled in the Twenties), is situated in front of the Pazzi Chapel in Santa Croce's square. The B&B offers air-conditioned rooms with elegant decor and satellite TVs. Each bedroom includes a minibar, a flat-screen satellite TV, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a water kettle for tea. Rooms at the front of the building have views of the church. One room includes a private terrace planted with lemon trees. The bed and breakfast provides a triple room and suite large enough for families. Guests can anticipate premium bedding and pillow menus, along with free WiFi and air conditioning. the location was fantastic. it allowed easy access to all the main attractions! a short taxi ride from the train station cost about 20€. the rooms feature an art deco theme. i appreciated how quiet my room was. it included a very comfortable bed. the en-suite was a good size too.

The mini fridge was filthy, a real let down. also, the shower stream felt weak and sprayed water everywhere. This needs addressing.

the location is 10/10. there was even a little christmas market happening in the square right outside, i could see it from my room! housekeeping refreshed the room each day, replenishing water, coffee, and tea. i also enjoyed the complimentary slippers and the big shower.

the breakfast was somewhat limited, and only one staff member was managing requests. there wasn't much food available to choose from, a bit disappointing!

The hotel location was very convenient. It was near one of the main squares, giving easy access to city attractions. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and explained everything well. The room was ALWAYS kept clean.

There was no soundproofing on the windows. Street noise often kept me from sleeping or woke me up early. The breakfast room felt a bit small. It was sometimes difficult to access the buffet when tables were full.
