i loved that the hotel was right across from the public gardens, a super beautiful spot for a morning walk. the location made it really easy to get to the waterfront and museums too! the two-room suite i booked was very spacious and nicely decorated. it was super clean.
i had some trouble finding the elevator in the underground parking, it wasn't clearly marked at all. my room didn't have any fresh water even though there was a city-wide issue with drinking water. it took a while, like 30 minutes, for it to arrive, not ideal.

mixed feelings about my stay

expensive parkingunfriendly reception
I was a bit disappointed with the parking situation. It cost extra and felt quite expensive, especially considering the overall price of the stay. also, the front desk staff didn't seem very cute when i arrived after leaving my luggage in the morning. I just wanted to drop my luggage to my room and i couldn't park! the room was fine, but the reception experience left a bad impression.

cracked sinkout-of-order ice machine
I was really looking forward to a relaxing time. the bathroom, though functional, showed definite signs of wear. there was a crack in the sink and the showerhead sprayed water in all directions. it was a bit of a mess. and the ice machine on my floor seemed to be perpetually out of order, requiring a trek to another floor each time i wanted ice. That was annoying.

disruptive noiseunavailable common room
the noise was rather disruptive. i was on the second floor and the rock band performing downstairs sounded as if they were in the adjacent room.. it was almost midnight. furthermore, upon arrival, i learned the common room and dining room were unavailable. earplugs were offered, but this hardly compensated for the disturbance and inconvenience.
