mixed feelings about my stay
country housepoor lightingstained carpet
the building had a country house feel as i walked in, a detail i appreciated.
i found the room quite disappointing and dated. the lighting was poor and i noticed stains on the carpet. the small tv seemed out of place.

the setting was lovely ( fine). the grounds feature gardens where i strolled peacefully. my room offered good views, something i savored. the breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!).
the shower in my room had very little pressure. it was difficult to take a proper shower after a long day. the staff seemed a bit young, and sometimes lacked the experience i anticipated. i also noticed that the room i stayed in could use some updating.

The room was very clean , and the beds were gigantic and comfortable.
The hotel seemed short-staffed , especially in the bar. I waited over 25 minutes for service there. A bell was available , but staff sometimes covered it to avoid being bothered. This made getting a drink before dinner difficult.

My stay had some drawbacks. i waited an unreasonable amount of time for breakfast service one morning. there was a delay of fifty minutes between tea arriving and the food order being taken. Apparently, eleven tables arrived simultaneously. i also found previous occupants' underwear under the bed. This is unacceptable. the shower pressure was poor, and external flood lights remained on until 2:00 am, disturbing my sleep.

The breakfast buffet offered diverse selections. It included bio yoghurts, various juices, cereals, and a nicely arranged fruit bowl. This was acceptable.
The room was small. It was also poorly configured. Too much furniture was inside. A cramped double bed further restricted movement. I found this disappointing.
