Services at Skiddaw

The Skiddaw Hotel offers event hosting in the Greta Suite for meetings, birthday parties, engagements, wedding receptions, christenings, anniversaries, funerals, charity events, school reunions, and proms, accommodating up to 100 guests with a private bar. Environmentally conscious practices are implemented throughout the hotel. “Skiddaw Hotel occupies a prime spot on Keswick's main square, which is ideal for exploring the town and accessing Derwentwater. I note the Brasserie 31 gets consistent praise, as do the family-friendly amenities and dog-friendly accommodations, but the bar area can get overcrowded and there seem to be issues with room ventilation that need addressing. The Greta Suite event space is a definite plus for private gatherings.”

The location is great for exploring. Staff members were friendly, helpful, polite and efficient. The breakfast menu had an extensive selection. I liked it.
The room had no outlook. There was a constant noise. I presumed it came from the ventilation system, it was there both day and night. The noise was unpleasant the whole time. I could not stop it. The walls and doors felt thin as paper. That was bad.
