Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Glendower Hotel is often praised for its excellent location, directly opposite the sand dunes and beach, and just a short walk from St Annes pier, the town centre with shops like B&M and M&S, and with easy access to both Blackpool and Lytham. Guests frequently enjoy the spacious rooms, particularly the Ribble View suite with its private sea view balcony; while some guests have noted noise issues due to thin walls, many appreciate the well-decorated interiors and the availability of free parking, including electric vehicle charging points. The food is often described as lovely, especially when taking advantage of special deals that include breakfast and evening meals served at the table.

Acceptable Stay with Some Disappointments

room amenitiesbathroom refurbishmentcleanliness issues
The room had everything I needed, a plus.
I found the bathroom quite disappointing. It clearly needs a complete refurbishment, especially considering the price I paid per night. I complained about the cleanliness twice, but it was still not up to standard even after the cleaning service, a situation I found unacceptable.

Wonderful Stay with Excellent Service

ev chargingfriendly staffminimal interaction
My executive room was well-appointed and of a good size. I also appreciated the provided fan. The car park offered EV charging points, a nice touch for modern travelers (like myself, I suppose). I found it easy to recommend this hotel to future guests. The prices for drinks were also reasonable.
The interaction during check-in felt minimal, I felt a warmer welcome would have improved my first impression of the hotel.

The breakfast service was fine.
I stayed for three nights. The cleaning staff left my door ajar after servicing the room. It was unacceptable. I reported the issue. The head housekeeper claimed the door should close by itself, potentially creating a fire hazard. The staff were nice, but it was not good enough.
