Select rooms offer views of Skiddaw, Lattrigg, or Catbells mountain. Town rooms overlook the Market Square. Rooms include a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Up to two dogs can stay in designated bedrooms for £25 per dog per night. Rooms offer blackout curtains, and bedside and table lamps. Accessible rooms are available, with walk-in showers and grab rails.

Dining: Brossen Steakhouse

The hotel features the AA Rosette award-winning Brossen Steakhouse, specializing in meat dishes. The Front Bar serves brunch, lunch, and cocktails. The Back Bar is a family-friendly pub with sports TV and a pool table, serving meals from 12 noon until late. Guests can sample local cuisine with the Cumbrian 'Lakes & Fells' buffet. A seasonal selection of sides is available, including sweet potato fries and house slaw. The Back Bar has been awarded the Cask Marque Award for its beer and cellar management. The check-in process was easy. The staff was lovely. my room overlooked the square and was on the first floor. the room was recently renovated and perfect. The bathroom was superb. breakfast was freshly cooked, and it was top notch.
I could hear some noise from outside during the night. It affected my sleep a little bit. the soundproofing could be better.
