Tantalus Resort Lodge is located in Whistler Village, the host mountain resort of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The lodge offers suites with fully stocked kitchens. Two Bedroom Suites feature 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen with 3 appliances, a dining room for six, a living room with a sofa bed, and a balcony. Two Bedroom Loft Suites add a rooftop deck overlooking Rainbow and Sprout Mountains, plus a second balcony facing the forest, and vaulted ceilings. Two Bedroom Bunk Bed Suites can accommodate up to 4 adults and 4 children. One Bedroom Suites feature 1 full bathroom, a 3-appliance kitchen, a dining room for six, a living room with a sofa bed, and a balcony.

Dining in Whistler includes various choices. The Firerock Lounge, in the Westin Resort & Spa, features an intimate chalet-style bar. Stonesedge Kitchen, off the Village stroll, serves charcuterie, wine, brunch, and dinner. Black's Pub, at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb, offers views of both mountains. Tapley's Neighbourhood Pub has served drinks and food since 1981. The Longhorn Saloon, at the base of the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas, provides drinks.

Whistler Blackcomb has over 8100 acres of terrain, 12 alpine bowls, 3 glaciers, and 200 marked trails. The PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola links Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains. the shuttle service worked quite well, even if i prefer to walk.
The room could have used a bit more attention. I found a stain on the lampshade. the pillows were also quite lumpy .

i phoned ahead to mention i would be arriving early, and i was really surprised they accommodated that! i had a truck, but parking was not a problem as they have special spots out front for larger vehicles. a short walk put me right in the village... and the rooms... wow! i found them really clean, with comfy beds and fresh linens.
i did notice the pillows felt a little lumpy, but it was only a minor thing..

the two-bedroom suite was spacious and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and a dishwasher, a real bonus when traveling with family. the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. there was also a laundry on site, very convenient for longer stays.

the front desk staff was warm and cute, and they were very accommodating with an early check-in. the staff was helpful in providing information about the area.

the lodge offers a personal shuttle to the slopes, that operates for several hours, very convenient for skiers. the village is only a short walk away, offering easy access to shops and restaurants. it is a short distance from city center.

I loved the full kitchen. It had a fridge, stove, and dishwasher! this made it easy to prepare meals. the location felt quiet and relaxing. It was just a short distance to the village.
the fire logs they sell are green logs and emit toxic fumes! also, the pillows were lumpy and old, not ideal.
