The Beekman, A Thompson Hotel, By Hyatt - A landmark 5-star hotel with a 9-story atrium, acclaimed dining, and duplex penthouses in Lower Manhattan
Located in Lower Manhattan's Financial District, this 5-star New York City hotel features a stunning 9-story Victorian atrium topped by a pyramidal glass ceiling. The historic building houses restaurants by renowned chefs Tom Colicchio and Daniel Boulud, including Temple Court and Le Gratin brasserie. The property offers a dual-level fitness center with Peloton bikes and a 24-hour concierge service. Guest accommodations showcase custom furniture, aged oak floors, and Carrara marble bathrooms with DS & Durga amenities. The Beekman's two signature duplex penthouses include private rooftop terraces overlooking downtown Manhattan. The hotel provides black car service within a one-mile radius. The Beekman sits just 0.5 miles from Brooklyn Bridge - City Hall station, with the World Trade Center, 9/11 Memorial, and Seaport District all within 0.5 miles.
Pros
Historic 1883 building with preserved architectural details and Victorian atrium
Acclaimed dining venues by celebrity chefs Tom Colicchio and Daniel Boulud
Lincoln Navigator house car service available Monday-Saturday
Separate entrance and private elevator access for VIP guests
Cons
12.5 miles distance from LaGuardia Airport
Valet parking rates start at $80 per day
“The Beekman's striking atrium, crowned with a pyramidal glass ceiling, sets a dramatic stage, further enhanced by curated art installations that invite exploration. Tom Colicchio's dining options and the hotel's personalized wellness experiences elevate the stay beyond mere accommodation; however, some guests might find the vibrant atmosphere less suited to quiet evenings. It's a place where architectural grandeur meets modern luxury, best suited to those who embrace the city's energy.”
