fantastic harbour view!
central location luggage storage complimentary water open fire
i visited with friends (but i was solo). the location was super central. i stored my luggage there in the morning, a real plus. the room had complimentary bottled water and crisps, nice touches. the pub downstairs was lively with a great open fire, a total win!
my room had just one small window that opened, making it quite warm even with the provided fan.

the hotel is just a short walk to the center. this makes it easy to explore nearby shops. getting to whitby abbey is simple with stairs nearby.

friendly staff clean room room kettle live music
The staff was very friendly and cute. I found the room clean and tidy. I had a hairdryer and kettle provided in the room. I enjoyed the live music and varied drink options at the bar.
The pillows were not very comfortable.

nice view live music friendly staff shut windows hot room uncomfortable pillows
The room had a nice view. The live music at the bar was a plus. Staff members were friendly and helpful .
My room had one window that could open. Most of the windows were painted shut. This made the room very hot. The pillows were not very comfortable.

The staff was friendly enough. The location is central. The room had a fan.
Room smelled strongly of stale beer. The noise from the pub downstairs was excessive and went on late. I couldn't sleep properly.

an ok experience
friendly staff beautiful view poor pillows dog noise
the room was clean. staff were very friendly on my arrival. the view was beautiful. the location is good if you don't want too much of a walk into town. it was a reasonable stay.
no food was available. guests with dogs meant doors were banging constantly. pillows was not great and the bed not good either. i did struggle with those aspects .
