Wonderful Stay and Great Food
really good location well trained staff perfect venison gorgeous grounds
The location was really good. The restaurant and chef received high praise. Servers were informative. The venison was prepared perfectly. The tagliatelle was also excellent. Breakfast mirrored the dinner elegance. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable too. I enjoyed sitting outside near the water. The grounds were gorgeous and well kept.
The building had some ongoing repair work . I noticed scaffolding. I also smelled fresh paint in some areas of the hotel. This was only a very minor issue.

The team was professional and friendly, always ready to assist with requests. The staff were particularly attentive to all guest's unique needs, providing help and useful information throughout my visit. We loved the service.

The hotel sits next to the Beauly Firth and it is in a wonderful setting. It is a quiet hotel directly on the water. I appreciated the proximity to the water and the no noise around. We enjoyed the location.

The staff were lovely and professional, I must say.
I was a bit disappointed with our room. The bathroom was quite poorly decorated, with a lino floor. It just felt a bit cheap, honestly. the shower was not good.

a good retreat
scottish charm sea view warm welcome
the hotel exuded scottish charm within an old building. our superior double room featured sea views. i found the food at dinner and breakfast to be excellent. the staff offered a warm welcome.
The bathroom decor seemed a little tired. This contrasted with the otherwise excellent condition of the hotel.

Dinner service was superb, and the food was well presented. It tasted great too. a new dietary specific breakfast menu is forward thinking, it notes current thinking. everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

The hotel had a good bar, it included some excellent whiskies. a knowledgeable barman was on hand. He made helpful suggestions. the relaxed atmosphere of the house suited my needs.

staff were very cute throughout my stay. service from all the staff was really good. i felt any request would be handled politely and efficiently, i was like a valued guest at all times.

extensive ground beautiful garden poor wifi faulty button
The hotel sits on extensive grounds. I found beautiful gardens and forest walks. Breakfast and dinner were AMAZING!!!
The WiFi reception was poor. The toilet flush button required multiple pushes to work. The bar was not consistently staffed. I had to wait to get drinks on several occasions.

dry yolk stingy portion
the setting was beautiful i liked the traditional style inside
the food service disappointed me i found the breakfast unacceptable i only wanted a little bacon and egg but the egg yolk was so dry it crumbled onto my fork half a slice of black pudding seemed stingy to me
