Rooms at The Waterman
The Waterman offers rooms decorated with custom artwork. Guests can book cosy double rooms with double beds, comfy double rooms with king size beds, or deluxe rooms with super king-size beds or two single beds. All rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, Smart TVs, Roberts digital radios, and en-suite shower rooms. Up to two dogs are welcome in dog-friendly bedrooms for an additional £20 per night, and the room includes a dog hamper with treats, a bed or blanket, and a bowl.
Food and Drink
The Waterman features an on-site restaurant with a bar/lounge. The menu features classic British fare. The pub offers a sun-kissed courtyard for sampling wares. The End of Summer Garden Party on August 29 features Northern Monk Faith on tap and burgers. For the Women's Rugby World Cup, Beer Munch boards are available. Guests can add dinner, bed, and breakfast to their stay. When booking directly, breakfast is included. The Potting Shed can accommodate 35 people seated or 50 people standing, and includes a private bar, projector, and Sky box; or, alternatively, 40 people seated or 60 people standing. Number 30 can accommodate 12 people seated or 25 people standing, and alternatively 25 people for a drinks or buffet reception.
Leisure and Entertainment
Guests can explore the River Cam via self-hire boat or with one of Scudamore's award-winning Cambridge punting tours. The Cambridge Distillery hosts master classes, private tastings, and walk-in tastings. Guests can visit the Cambridge University Botanic Garden with over 8,000 plant species or The Fitzwilliam Museum, which houses over half a million works of art, paintings, and historical artefacts. Guests can cycle through the historic center on a standard, hybrid, or electric bike. The Potting Shed combines with a secret garden to create one of Cambridge's best-hidden music spots.
Location and Transport
The Waterman is 3 km from Cambridge, situated a 2-minute walk from the River Cam, and half a mile from the historical city centre. Buses to the rail station and city centre run every 10 minutes and can be caught outside The Waterman. There is on-street parking at Chesterton Hall Crescent, a 5-minute walk from the pub.

The venue offers two private hire spaces, in addition to the main pub area for drinks and dining. The Potting Shed and No. 30 can be booked for corporate events with Day Delegate Rates and flexible packages. The pub and No 30 are wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible bathroom in the main bar. The bedrooms are located on the first floor and are accessed by stairs.
