the wansfell room was spacious. it included a full size bath and a good shower. grounds immediately around the room were available for exploring.

the superior double room was warm and spacious. the full-size bath was amazing after my hike. i enjoyed exploring the grounds around the room.
the kitchen could have been better stocked. the television only had terrestrial channels. i found the kitchen utensils quite basic.

the location is quiet,. i enjoyed views of the lake from the front of the building and the surrounding walks nearby. the room had a television and a fridge which were useful. parking was also available.
the hot water ran very slowly, making the shower experience less than ideal.

mixed feelings ABOUT this hotel
slow hot waterthin walls
the lack of hot water was A PROBLEM. the shower barely trickled, and i had to wait ages for any warm water to reach the tap. plus, the noise was irritating. i could hear other guests moving around and talking LATE at night.

The location offered great access to local trails. the team stocked tea and coffee every day, appreciated. the room had sufficient space for my luggage and gear. Breakfast did prove convenient before early hikes.
the bedroom curtains are a bit thin, they do not fully block light from outside.

good locationslow wateruneven steps
The location is pretty good for exploring the lakes.
I had some issues . The hot water ran very slowly, so the shower wasn't great. Also there were no outside lights so navigating the uneven steps to the front door was rather difficult

the location was perfect with a short drive to town i found a lovely area i had elecreic charging point for my car the room was lovely and warm.
the heating wasn't working i was not forewarned about this i went to reception and the lady said that they were struggling to get a plumber she gave me a small fan heater and sent me on my way.
