“Grosvenor Villa is a romantic getaway in Bath, and the historic building exudes distinctive charm, enhanced by secure, gated premises. The pet-friendly accommodation includes complimentary refreshments and a unique, pulley-operated breakfast service in the Georgian dining room. I think the location offers a delightful blend of tranquility and convenient access to the city's attractions via scenic canal walks.”

Acceptable Stay, But Not Without Issues

full-sized bathsoft mattressdated decor
The room was large and contained a full-sized bath, a feature I appreciated.
The soft mattress on the bed caused some discomfort. I also found the lack of modern amenities a little disappointing. It felt more like staying in someone's traditional house than a contemporary hotel. I think the decor was a bit dated.

dated decortraditional style
the decor felt a bit old. it seemed they aimed for a traditional style, but it came across as dated. i expected more of a modern hotel feel, i found the traditional decor wasn't entirely to my taste.

the television was a little small for the room size. i found the selection of channels limited. this made evening relaxation less enjoyable than it could have been. the shower pressure was also not consistent, sometimes weak. this meant i found it a struggle to rinse thoroughly after using shampoo.
