i noticed the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment, but i received a lovely, updated room! the lift was working perfectly. the room was pretty good. it was done to a high standard and was comfortable.
the tv selection was limited to only freeview channels, slightly disappointing.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. I saw both hot and cold items available. the buffet included fruit options. I noticed mostly tinned varieties. tea tasted as expected.

the hotel is situated in an EXCELLENT position near the beach, with access to the shore. this provides opportunities for seaside walks and enjoying the coastal scenery. a pub is conveniently located within the hotel.

The location allowed easy walks to the town center and the Abbey. I also enjoyed nice views. It now offers a fresh new feel.
The hotel lift was broken. I had to walk to the top floor. This was difficult.

I enjoyed the location. It was a short walk into the centre of town. The staff were helpful and very pleasant at all times!
Parking was not reserved as requested! I had to park in a muddy, waterlogged adjacent car park. Windows need replacing in rooms as they let a draft through and there is no sound insulation from the road.

The receptionist offered a warm welcome. My single room on the 3rd floor featured a great sea view. Breakfast included a good variety of cooked and continental options with juices, tea, and coffee, I enjoyed a filling breakfast each morning. The room was clean, with excellent facilities like a great ensuite bathroom.
