Dog-friendly rooms are available for an additional £20 per dog, per night.

“The Grand Hotel in Torquay certainly earns points for its seaside location and incredibly kind staff, especially the team at reception and Felix at the 1881 Restaurant. I note the availability of both indoor and outdoor pools, plus the hotel's dog-friendly policy, making it suitable for different travel styles. The hotel's parking situation could pose challenges; however, its charm and dedicated service are likely why many guests, like myself, would consider returning.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Grand Hotel enjoys a great location close to the train station with a level walk to the beach and shops, providing convenient access to the theatre along the waterfront and central Torquay. Guests often appreciate the spaciousness of the rooms and bathrooms, along with amenities like the indoor and outdoor heated pools at the Grand Spa, and a variety of food at breakfast. Some guests have noted that the rooms can get hot, requiring use of the provided portable fan, while others find the railway announcements can be heard, but overall, visitors find the hotel a comfortable place to stay, and the hotel garage provides safe parking.
