Malmaison Oxford, housed in a former prison, offers a unique experience, conveniently located near Oxford City Centre and the shopping centre. The "cell" rooms, while quirky, are generally spacious and comfortable, with some featuring amenities like a mini-fridge, Nespresso capsules and complimentary water and Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Staying in a building, a prison was a different experience. The location was ideal with easy access to main attractions. The staff members were friendly and helpful .
The room required some attention to detail. I found mould stains in the grout and a burn mark on the bath. The air conditioning did not work well.
