exquisite overnight stay

harbour viewromantic ambiancereduced ratesound insulation
i found the room very nice with a view over the harbour. there was a romantic ambiance created by the cathedral lights. breakfast was also very nice with fresh options. the receptionist validated my parking next door for a reduced rate of £19 for 24 hours
during my stay, i noticed the sound insulation between rooms was not ideal. i could clearly hear a guest coughing next door. this affected the quiet enjoyment of my stay.

The air conditioning unit was non-functional. It emitted noise throughout the night, disrupting my rest. despite reporting this to the staff, the issue remained unresolved, and i felt my compensation was inadequate. i also found the shower was not hot enough (certainly disappointing).

the staff were genuinely helpful. they were always available at the desk. the room was very clean and tidy. the bed was comfortable too.
the bathroom was quite small for my liking. it felt a bit cramped. the room decor looked a bit dated. a wall heater seemed old-fashioned.

Inconsistent Stay at Harbour hotel

poor insulationclogged drain
I found some aspects disappointing. The sound insulation was surprisingly poor. I could hear the guest next door quite clearly. the shower drain was clogged when I tried to use it one morning. I did not have time for them to repair it before I left, resulting in A VERY unpleasant shower. it seems that basic maintenance is LACKING.
