helpful staff sweet note afternoon rest outdated head surly receptionist weak shower
the staff was so nice. tom even fixed our window and left a sweet note! i appreciated the building's charm. the lounge area was a perfect spot for an afternoon rest.
The room had no glasses, just cups. i missed having tumblers and wine options. the shower was weak and the head was outdated! the check-in felt cold. The receptionist seemed a bit surly.

good location helpful staff sizeable room poor bar service missing amenities red wine
the location was good, near the railway station. my room was sizeable and i liked the location close to south bay. the staff were helpful.
The bar service was annoying. I had to go to reception for every drink. they had no lime, ice, or red wine which was a shame. i kept asking for milk, shampoo and shower gel.

historical theme sea view updated room friendly staff
i appreciated the room upgrade i receivedwith a good sea view. the rooms had been recently updated. staff members were consistently available, displaying friendliness and a cute attitude. the historical theme enhanced the overall charm of the hotel.
the windows looked a bit unclean.

the hotel is near the train station and the town centre. the beach is easily accessible from this place. the hotel sits in the crescent, a georgian square.

the room had ample space including the shower room. the room featured white crisp towels plus bed sheets. there was also plenty of tea and coffee available in the room, i noticed.

the staff facilitated luggage storage. they were really good, courteous and helpful. front hotel parking is available depending on guest parking skills. towel rails in the bathroom were heated.

amazing location, amazing stay!
excellent location friendly staff easy reach
the location is just spot on.. so close to the main attractions and also the train station! i hopped on a bus to robin hood's bay and whitby. it cost very little each way. i also used the nearby tram, and that really helped me avoid a huge climb. the staff were super friendly, always smiling and offering help.
the radiator in my room made a strange noise at night. it sounded like it was trying to fill up with something, kind of distracting when i was trying to sleep.

excellent room size friendly staff fantastic location
The room size was excellent! I stayed in the Heritage Double and it felt very spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is fantastic. It is so close to many shops.
The bathroom fittings looked a bit worn.

the location provided easy access to the train station. the victorian tram was just a short walk away. bar prices were quite reasonable , a welcome surprise.
i noticed a very slight odd smell upon entering my room.
