lovely moments
comfy beds village view dog area ample parking
Our room included comfy beds and a nice view of the village and lake. the hotel was very clean. we were glad dogs are allowed. There is even a special dog area at meal times. plenty of parking.
i thought the room decor was a little dated.

The staff was helpful and friendly, especially during check-in and check-out. Everything went smoothly. most staff did not have english as a first language, but they were polite. the receptionist was really nice.

breakfast was hot and pretty decent, a good start to each day. breakfast is buffet style and includes a basic selection. the adjacent bistro provides another option for meals and is excellent.

the hotel is next to the train station making it convenient. there is accessibility. there are dog-friendly zones. the parking area is available arriving by car.

Acceptable Location, Disappointing Experience
dog smell no cleaning
The location was ideal. It was close to many places I wanted to visit.
My room smelled strongly of dogs, I suspect a previous guest brought one. The room was not cleaned during my 4-night stay. I was told cleaning is not provided as this is a budget hotel, I was surprised by this.

cooked items quiet room
The breakfast buffet included a plentiful selection of cooked items. i found the beds to be very comfortable. My room was quiet. THE shower was super!
getting out of the car park safely was difficult, due to the exit being on a steep bend.

clean room massive space food option
the room was clean. it was also massive, which i appreciated. the pub next door served good food.. i liked that. the hotel is also conveniently close to the high street.
there were hardly any soap in the dispenser in the bathroom.

Really good Service and Convenient Location
friendly staff big lift large bathroom
The staff was very friendly, showing us the ramp access and lift. The lift was big enough for a person and a fold-up wheelchair. My allocated room was near the lift. It had plenty of space. The bed was great to sleep on. The bathroom was large. there was a beautiful view of the lake.
The hotel charges guests £6 per day for parking. I think a simple key fob and barrier gate could resolve this issue.
