I had a great time at the Golden Nugget, especially because it was my first experience in Vegas and I loved the retro vibe of the hotel. While the pool area was beautiful, I did notice some cleanliness issues that detracted from my overall experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Fremont Street. Although dining at Claim Jumper was a highlight, I found the overall service at the hotel wasn't as top-notch as I remembered it from previous trips.

The room was clean but a bit dated, and we experienced some noise from the elevator. It also could have used a deeper clean upon arrival.
