The building is beautiful. It has lots of lovely plants. the staff were friendly, I enjoyed the social hour free drink. There was a WELL stocked with tea and coffee choice and water and milk and snacks.

I booked one of the more expensive rooms, for a break away with my partner. when we checked in and got to our room it was SO cold in the room and bathroom, we couldn't even take our coats off. we called down to reception 3 times. After 45 minutes someone finally came to our room and moved us to another which was no better.

The building had much history. It was also well kept and I smelled good scents when I walked in. The check-in and check-out processes were simple with warm staff. Our gent made sure we knew this was the best hotel.

I did find no welcome book in the room. I needed to fumble with the coffee machine. I also struggled to find a plug socket for the kettle.
