breakfast selection dining room missing amenities air conditioning
i found the breakfast selection to be great with fresh fruit. the thoughtfully designed dining room added to the experience. the receptionist was helpful calling a taxi for me.
i specifically requested a room with working air conditioning but this was not met. the room was also missing basic amenities such as tea and coffee, it was disappointing to find that lacking.

My Classic Double Room was spacious and clean. I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff when I needed directions. The bed was comfortable (I slept like a log!).
The noise from the street was noticeable, especially during peak hours.

excellent stay

i had a Beautiful suite city view. The room included free soft drinks, water, tea, and coffee replenished regularly. There was a free safe and ironing board. The suite featured ample closet space , perfect for a longer stay. The breakfast was a lovely spread with lots of choices.
The hotel name had been changed three times recently , this made the place difficult to find initially.

a commendable experience
cooked breakfast buffet helpful staff quiet atmosphere
i found breakfast to be superb. the cooked breakfast buffet was one of the best i have ever had. the staff were helpful, polite and knowledgeable, a true asset to the hotel. the hotel maintained calm and quiet.
the cleanliness policy stated a room cleaning every three days, with limited services in between. i found this approach somewhat inconvenient.

lovely room and excellent breakfast

i stayed in a classic triple room on the eighth floor. the room was spacious and it had air conditioning. plenty of toiletries were available in the large bathroom with a walk in shower and bathtub. the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with many options.
the reception service was slightly slow during peak times.

bus stops are conveniently located right outside the hotel. queen street train station is also nearby, it is only a short walk away. the train provides a quick journey to cardiff bay.

lukewarm breakfast inflexible policy
the pool access policy seemed rather inflexible. i was told the spa access was not a one-off fee, it was £10 per use. the breakfast temperature was another issue. it was lukewarm. i expect much better.
