mixed feelings about my stay
peeling wallpaperbroken tiles
I was quite let down by the room. the peeling wallpaper and yellowing paint gave a very dated feel. It seemed like the room hadnt been updated in years. the sharp, broken tiles on the bathroom floor were a safety hazard. also. It was difficult to get a table for meals. It would be good if guests could book in advance.

i had a wonderful dinner and the staff were friendly and helpful. the cottage was spacious and immaculate! the setting was beautiful. the hotel bar and food were amazing!!!
i understand it is an old building, but the squeaky floorboards in my room were a slight annoyance.

The location is convenient. I could easily walk to the village center. the hotel is near both scenic walking routes and a local distillery. the surroundings were very quiet and beautiful.

i like that the beer was excellent, since it was brewed next door. The breakfast i had was also very good. ALL of the staff were lovely and helpful
i dont like that room 9 needs a thorough clean. The entire place could use an upgrade as well. The mattress was creaky and lumpy, and that bothered me.
