Macdonald Spey Valley Resort provides self-catering cottages and apartments. Accommodations range from two-bedroom chalets to spacious two- or three-bed apartments, lodges, and villas. The Scottish Steakhouse serves steak cooked to order, North Sea haddock, beer-battered and served with tartar sauce and mushy peas. A lighter menu of snacks, lunches, and afternoon teas is available in the bar, open Monday to Sunday, with the bar menu served from 12 PM to 4 PM and the restaurant menu from 5 PM to 8 PM. The Clubhouse offers breakfast rolls, cake, and lattes with views of the mountains and greens.

It is a 20-minute walk from Aviemore and 2 km from Spey Valley Shopping. Nearby attractions include the Craigellachie National Nature Reserve (3 km), TreeZone Aviemore (3 km), and Rothiemurchus (2 km). The Aviemore train station is 10 minutes away, with links to Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London. National Cycle Route 7 passes through Aviemore. Inverness Airport is the closest airport.
