central location success

good standardcentral locationeasy walking distance
I found the hotel has been refitted to a good standard. The location is close to the center. This means the theatre and restaurants are in easy walking distance. Breakfast was excellent.
The floors had been swept but there was a black grubby build up of grime in all the corners.
Rooms
9/10
The beautiful double room was spacious. It was really nicely decorated. The bathroom was unbelievable and a lot bigger than expected, i was surprised having a skylight in there.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel car park was very good, it cost £10 for 24 hours. The city centre car park provided easy access. The building has a fine interior and tasteful decor. Everything was excellent.
Dining
10/10
Breakfast was one of the best I've had in ages. There were lots of options, and they served decent coffee. I enjoyed a cocktail in the chic lounge area. They have a well stocked bar.

the room looked tired, i think the carpets were dirty and paint chipped. the man on the desk seemed uninterested in my comments, but maybe he was just having a bad day. the bathroom, i found it grubby.

i found the staff very friendly (i always appreciate a warm welcome). the breakfast selection was also perfect. the cooked offerings were spot on as well.
the cleanliness of the room was a little disappointing. i noticed some marks on the walls and broken tiles on the floor. there was no air-conditioning, so it was very hot being on the top floor.
