The Alma kitchen, led by Head Chef Mahesh, serves British pub classics, locally sourced butchers cuts from Frank Godfreys family butcher (founded in 1905), and Sunday roasts. All prime cuts of beef are from grass-fed cattle, and hung for a minimum of 28 days. The Dining Room offers the same menu in a more intimate setting. The bar provides a range of real ales and fine wines. Breakfast is served Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM, and Saturday & Sunday from 8 AM to 11 AM. Breakfast options include a farmhouse breakfast, dippy eggs, eggs Benedict, eggs Florentine, eggs Royale, avocado toast, the full vegetarian, croissant 'Croque Madame', stewed plums, almond butter, Dingley Dell ham, Pitchfork cheddar omelette, Vien French Toast, Bermondsey Baked Granola.

my room was very spacious and had everything i needed. the bed was very comfortable too. despite the fact it is also a pub, it was quiet at night. the staff were friendly and always helpful.

the staff was very attentive, providing quick and helpful assistance. Emma at reception was especially kind and were pretty good too ensure i had everything i needed , showing a genuine interest in my comfort.

the room was a really nice size. the bathroom had a clean shower and great toiletries. complementary shortbreads were delicious.. i also enjoyed the excellent selection of coffees and teas.
the hotel is far from downtown. it took a while to travel to town using the train to waterloo station and then the subway. there is no elevator if your room is upstairs.

The room was very clean. The bed was also super comfortable (i slept so well!).
I found the air conditioning controls difficult to understand. The room got too warm, even after i adjusted the settings.

The floral scent in the room upon arrival was overpowering. I had to open the patio door for hours to air it out. The fish I ordered for dinner was unevenly cooked, with not much flesh. Breakfast cereal was difficult to access from its jar, and the waitress disappeared while getting my coffee.
