Acceptable location, disappointing service!

convenient locationbroken windowaudible music
The location was convenient and met my expectations.
The room lacked privacy in the bathroom. It was a strange design. The heating didn't work, and the window was broken. I was on the 17th floor. The music from the rooftop was audible, so I had to change rooms at midnight.

Acceptable stay near the High Line

convenient locationgreat bonusold fridgecheap table
My room was quite nice. The location was very convenient for exploring the Meatpacking District and walking the High Line. The proximity to so many restaurants was a great bonus (I especially liked the Italian place around the corner!).
The room showed some wear and tear. The mini bar fridge was old and did not cool items effectively. I also noticed a scratch on the table, it looked cheap.

Acceptable Location, Issues with Room Setup

acceptable locationsurprise arrangementundelivered champagne
The location was acceptable and provided views as expected.
I tried to arrange a surprise with the hotel for my wife's birthday, including cake, champagne, and balloons. Upon arrival, nothing was in the room. Only the cake was eventually delivered, and the champagne never arrived despite my willingness to pay. This ruined the surprise.
