underwhelming stay
outdated roompiled toilet paper
i booked a double room (or so i thought), but it felt outdated. the sign i put out for the room to be cleaned seemed pointless. the bedding wasn't changed even though we had our dog with us, a detail i would have appreciated. also, there were cracks in the walls and ceiling, and the toilet paper was just piled up instead of on a proper holder.

i found a good amount of parking spaces on arrival. the hotel is very dog-friendly including offering facilities for them to exercise. the staff greeted our dog and made a fuss of him. breakfast included a full english option and pastries.
i noticed the younger lady at the reception was not particularly friendly on arrival. she spoke like a machine. there was a need to book a table and wait one hour even to order a coffee or slice of cake.

the hotel had a superb location for accessing other villages in the area. it was only a short walk to some lovely little shops and restaurants. it is around 2 miles from bowness.

An Adequate Stay
undercooked baconunexpected pool occupation
The breakfast service felt a bit disorganized I noticed a definite decline in quality mid-stay as table service replaced the buffet I paid for. The waiter just stared when I mentioned the bacon was undercooked he didn't offer a replacement. the pool was unexpectedly occupied by a swim school it wasn't ideal as a hotel guest.
